Please welcome me to the world of parking fines!



I find it a little amusing that I was fined for "Parking after the expiry of the parking coupon(s) to meet the prescribed parking charges." on my first day driving out alone.

Still, I am such a pok / loser. I had displayed two $1 coupons to last till 3.30pm. I was still at my nail place with Yinqi at about 4.30pm so I decided to give my car a check and to display additional parking coupons, should I have not been fined yet (fingers crossed). So I told the manicurist my intentions and she said, "Never mind... Puasa month.. they won't come!...etc" and I decided to take the risk 'cos what's another half an hour compared to the 1 hour I already exceeded.

When our nails were done at about 5pm, we headed back to the car/carpark and saw the parking attendant on the 1st floor. (Gasp!) My car was parked on the 2nd floor and true enough, I found a ticket underneath the windscreen wiper. I was booked at 4.43pm - less than 15 mins after I wanted to add another additional coupon (but didn't) and about 15 mins before we returned to the car.

Boohoo! :(

Yinqi, Yeekwan and I were to go to the Singapore Flyer (SF) on Sat evening. The weather seemed fine until our MRT hit underground and we didn't know that it started to pour. When we reached City Hall and realised that it was raining quite heavily, we decided that it was rather pointless braving the rain to see more rain on the SF so we called it off and ended up window shopping around Marina Square. We thought of catching a movie but there were no suitable timeslots for shows we didn't mind watching. After the shops started to close around 10-ish, we shared a taxi ride home. (I love it when my friends stay in the East :))
