I've been lagging in my updates but here they are. A lot of what has been happening plus photos. Hehe...
18th June 2005Yeek, Lychee and I went to DinTaiFung at TM for dinner. It was in celebration of Lychee turning 21. :) After that, MS joined us and the 4 of us headed for Pat's house. Simple gathering but good old times. We've known each other since Sec1(1997) so that's abt 8.5 years already!!! haha.. We just sat ard with more snacks, chatted and chatted. It isn't really that unbelievable considering we haven't met up with one another in quite a long while. Thanks dearies for being my best friends!

Posted by Hello19th June 2005I went to the Esplanade to watch a bubble show with Frenchloaf!!! Hehe.. It was rather magical in the beginning but the whole theatre was filled with kids with short attention span that hmm towards the end of the show it was getting of our nerves. The girl beside Frechloaf couldn't stop rolling ard. The boy beside me couldn't stop whining and complaining that he wants a drink. The girl and her dad behind the both of us kept yakking throughout the show. Oh well, so much for sharing similar interests as the kids! ahahaha... Frenchloaf expected more from the show. There wasn't any storyline at all I guess, just two men playing with bubbles.
Met Paul for dinner after that. He drove to Botanical Gardens, the vistor centre and we had dinner at the cafe there. Pretty nice place. The food's okay too. Except I didn't like the Iced Latte I bought. It seemed too sweet. and when Lorrie thinks it's too sweet. It must be really sweet.
23th June 2005I met Awful for a movie and dinner. "Mr and Mrs Smith" was the movie of the night. Dinner was lotsa popcorn!, nachos, and BK! ahahha.. Awful's favs. Lol. I kinda liked the show. Both of them were so hot! and the reviews are so right, I guess their chemistry was good. After the show, we popped by the machine land! hahaha erm.. okay this sounds really dumb but what do u call those machines where u put in coins and turn turn turn to get an egg with a toy inside? ahahha Do they have a name? For now, this moment, I can't recall. Anyway, fascinated with all the many many machines, we walked ard many many times to see which one we wanted to play. In the end, fickle Lorrie couldn't decide and both Lorrie and Awful ended up walking away empty handed.
24th June 2005It was "Bring you kids to work" day at Bloomberg LP. The 15 interns, which included me of cos, devoted half a day of work to taking care and entertaining the kids. Your dear Lorraine was responsible for helping out the emcee with the games and taking care of the kids that were 3 and 4 years old. Boy have I never been worn out. Hahaha.. These kids, are really cuteeeee and like angels. Yet they can also be terrors!!! Hmm.. considering I don't have any experience with taking care of or even playing with kids, it was quite a handful!!! It was fun nevertheless. Beats sitting in my office seat, thinking of my butt growing bigger! No photos though. Didn't have time to snap any!! :(
After work, I headed down to Suntec once again to meet my dearest future doctor to be Sweetheart, who's back from Melbourne!!! Ahahaha.. Once again, when old friends meet up, what do they do? Yak yak yak... and more yak!!!! Sweetheart and myself were both from Dunman High track and tabletennis and Sec3I. Also, VJC track and photography society. I really missed her a lot while she was away. It was a lovely evening. Must meet up with her more in the one mth that she's gonna be back.

Posted by Hello25th June 2005I went to DBL-O. It was a last min arrangement with my swimming friend but glad it happened cos we enjoyed ourselves! ahaha.. They were playing retro music, similar to Zouk's Mambo but somehow I think I like DBL-O's better. I love the retro songs!!! Haven't been to Zouk in aggggeees though. Hehe. Drinks were also better priced. (i.e. less expensive haha) and I think I drank quite a bit. 7 drinks in total. I started with a Lychee Martini, then a Barcardi Breezer, Malibu Pineapple, Whisky Shot, Tequila Pop, Bailey's Shake and last but not least, a Volcano. That was just nice to keep be going through the night - not drunk, a lil high and very happy. :) Calling all my friends, let's go DBL-O on Saturdays! Hehe.. It's really a bit different unlike Mambo. The crowd, the atmosphere, but the music and drinks are better. A different clubbing experience. (And I have a plan to bring my sister there. Hehe.)
Hmm.. woah. Hehe. So much for what I've been doing. There a bit more like my Mum's birthday which was on the 21st June...etc. Basically, things have been good. Meeting friends, spending a little time with my family, doing stuff I enjoy...etc yeah. Now the next thing to look forward for is my Sis's arrival on the 28th! (Tues morn). Yay! But I hope she doesn't complain about how messy home sweet home is.. Lol. :)

ahaha BOO! Hello all! How many people actually read my blog?? I would like to know so if u do see this msg, leave a comment okay? :)
Work's been fine. Except that because I wakey at 6am everyday and reach home abt 7pm on the days I don't meet up with friends, i spend the rest of the time sleeping and watching teevee. Forgive me for neglecting Lorrie's Little World. In short, less time for everything and you all dearies. But I'm still determined to make sure I have a fulfilling life. As long as I'm happy, I guess nothing else really matters. How to be happy? That's something that I don't have the answer for either. I guess I just follow my intuition and heart. (p/s: my trips to the 7e like pantry has been increasing. lol.)
I would also like to take this opportunity to wish dearest LYCHEE a happy 21st!! She's been one of my bestest friends, even though I might say we are really quite different. I'm glad to have her as a friend and glad to know that she's the way she is. I hope she's happy and again, that's all that matters. Hehe. (p/s: qi, i am still at the 3rd book of the Chesapeake Bay saga. not done yet but i think i like Phillip rather than Ethan or Cameron! ahaha. okay. i'm fickle. hope to talk to u soon.)
I miss a lot of people. Yet, I know it's inevitable. Like how I can't possibly meet up with my beloved friends all the time. Like how my sis's in Perth. (Can't wait for her to come back!) etc etc. If working life is really gonna be like what i'm experiencing now, I really hope to manage my time better.
Lastly, my mobile's spoilt!!! :( Well, time for a new one i guess. Haven't decided which one though. Any recommendations? The prob with my current one is that it doesn't ring. All the functions are fine except that it doesn't make noise. Haha. The weird thing is that the keypad tones are working but the ringing tone isn't. I'm still contactable! No worries! Hehe. Drop me an sms or gimme a call. If I don't answer, I'll call back or try to get back to you at least.

The first day at work was fine. First half of the morning had orientation. i.e. introduction, office tour, settle the documents, classes to use the systems. After lunch, the 15 interns were despatched to our various departments. There were in total 5 interns, including myself, in the sales division. Due to our restricted access to many functions in the system, they were unable to assign much work to us. Ended up reading/staring at what we could access in the system all the way till six.
Took the train home. Dinner and then before i knew it, i was dozing off even w/o showering! Luckily i forced myself out of bed to shower before blogging here and yeah, i'll be in bed soon. eight to six is really a long long day. and it actually starts at six in the morning.
Ooh. Before i go, yes the pantry in the office is amazing! It would remind you of seven-eleven. No kidding. Being me, i would love to try everything there but it's rather embarassing to be attacking all the food in the pantry when ure just a newbie ey. Hehe. When the time is right, when i find the right moments, I shall! :)

this was taken from a conversation with my very good friend. she makes so much sense but i always have to read and listen to my friends' words for it to be drilled into me. sheesh.
i don't want to be silly anymore. i extended my hand out for a handshake and if he's not going to shake me hand i should just put my hand down and forget it. such a lousy fren. now i know what friends are. i guess we were just never true friends. my friend's right. i should use my energy wisely for myself and for my friends.
anyway watched Madagascar with Lychee today. (Lychee, dun be upset that i called u Lychee, i like to use codenames in my blog. hehe) dinner at marche. last night i stayed over at frenchloaf's place. :) had a haircut and express pedicure b4 that. i like haircuts. even if it doesn't look that nice u'll force urself to think it's nice. lol. kidding. i like haircuts that make me look decent. i dislike reasons to shop. makes me spend more!!! grr... like how a bought a few stuff supposedly for work. oh well.. investments investments. it's not unwise to think that way i guess. hee.

results came out today. i did okay. as usual. CAP went up by 0.05 but not particularly happy with one of my module. friends will know cos i've been bitching about it. hehe. sigh. still an okay sem for lorrie i guess. her best if u look at CAP in fact. i guess Cs.. even if C+s just spoil everything.
also went down to bloomberg today to sign the internship contract. had a little briefing. work starts monday. please let me not be late. bought a pair of working pants and a pair of heels. i'll make sure they are put to good use. need to get more stuff tmr. just a bit more.
small emotional relapse again. sigh. why am i still entangled in this silly web? the pathetic is that i'm the only one in the web. how did i still end up in this quiksand? my sis kept saying "STUPID STUPID STUPID" and she's right. yet i always rely on my sis, or my good friends to tell me the cruel truth, which i tend to not want to see.
seems like a way out now is to work until i "die". to work until i'm damn tired and exhausted so that i can't think of anything else but work and my beloved friends and family. and not the meanie that i should not regard as a friend if he doesnt regard me as one.
i'm still a kid. call me childish. but yeah. can't imagine i'm turning 21 this aug not to mention i'm going to work. ahahaha!
